Desma Stovall-Gould

17-1 Head Coach

Desma Stovall-Gould will enter her first season with Coalition VBC this 2022-23 season. Desma played at Oregon State as a setter during the 2002-2006 seasons. 

Stovall-Gould brings significant experience as both a player and coach to the Coalition sidelines, most recently serving as an assistant coach at UAlbany 2019 and Princeton University from 2015-2017.
 
During her time at UAlbany Stovall-Gould helped lead the Great Danes to their first conference championship since 2011. 
 

During both seasons at Princeton, Desma helped the Tigers capture the Ivy League Conference championship. 

Desma also spent nearly a decade in Europe as both a player and assistant coach. 

Stovall-Gould’s European playing days began with a two-year stint at Voley Murcia in Spain, where she was a two-time captain. She played the next two years on top French Teams (USSP Albi and TFOC Terville in the Fem Pro A), serving as the TFOC Terville team captain.  Colburn also spent time in Germany, where she both played at VFL Nürnberg and played and coached at TSV Ansbach.

Stovall-Gould graduated from Oregon State in 2006 with a degree in photography. She fought for the Beavers and is among their program leaders in assists. She had a career-high 75 assists in a match against St. Mary's, and 20 digs against Oregon.

Desma resides in Colorado Springs with her husband Zach. Desma also has two children, Lena and Ethan.
